Disease Treatment Nephrology Center
UCSF Medical Center's Center for the Treatment of Kidney Disease was ranked fourth in the 2018-19 U.S. Hospitals - Nephrology by U.S. News and World Report.
The centre is one of the better hospitals for the treatment of severe kidney disease, providing comprehensive consultation, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic renal failure, renal vascular disease, hypertensive disorders, immune kidney disease, complex renal tubular and electrolyte disorders, metabolic evaluation and treatment of kidney stones, and evaluation and management of patients before and after kidney transplantation.
The Renal Centre includes the Mount Zion Dialysis Centre, the Renal Transplant Centre, the Parnassus Renal and Hypertension Centre and the Polycystic Kidney Centre of Excellence.
